Newstructure streamlines governance and supports Nexwell’s core mission todecarbonize the planet

Nexwell,a sustainable investment platform committed to decarbonization, has completedthe consolidation of its portfolio companies and investment initiatives under asingle Investment Holding Company platform, Nexwell LLC, and raised over €60millions of new capital in equity and preferred shares from a consortium ofinvestors.  

Sinceits founding in 2019, Nexwell has been a purpose-driven decarbonization investment company that acceleratesclimate change solutions and believes in scaling efficiently to generatesubstantial impact.  The new InvestmentHolding Company structure is expected to support the company’s growth andresulting decarbonization impact.

“The new Investment Holding Company structure isexpected to streamline governance, enhance knowledge transfer and facilitatecapital-raising for future investments in order to scale efficiently,” said CharlieWilliams, Executive Chair of Nexwell.  “Thiswill contribute to our goal to reach > 1 billion tons of CO2 avoided orsequestered by the end of the next decade.”

Nexwellhas established three successful operating platforms, either from inception orthrough partnerships, including a major investment in Cox Energy.  The company is also incubating agroundbreaking initiative poised to sequester hundreds of millions of tons ofCO2. Nexwell’s current portfolio spans investments in the development,construction, financing, owning and operation of utility scale solar power andbattery storage plants; installation and ownership of residential, commercialand industrial solar; direct air carbon capture technology; and the developmentof large scale on-shore and near-shore carbon sequestration sites.
